Most who know me know that I have been involved in damage prevention for over 36 years. This is the greatest industry and career in the world. Every day that I get up, I am excited that I get the opportunity to help someone help themselves and protect underground utilities from being damaged.
Tennessee 811 doesn’t control every step of the 811 process – namely, the locating and marking that occurs after a locate request is submitted – but even for the pieces of the process that are out of our control, we will do anything we can to connect you with the right party to make sure you are taken care of. Our team at Tennessee 811 lives and breathes customer service. We are all aware of what bad customer service looks like and it is our collective goal at Tennessee 811 to provide the best customer experience possible. We train and coach all our employees to treat our customers as we would want
to be treated. It is always helpful and rewarding to hear when we are meeting these expectations, but we also want to know when we aren’t.
As an organization, we are always evaluating how we can better serve our customers. Technology improvements can create efficiencies, and policy improvements are an opportunity to align procedures with industry shifts that occur over time. Our promise to our customers is to evaluate and consider all possibilities to best serve you.
To that end, our leadership team has endorsed and accepted a newly defined purpose: CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
