SCHOLARSHIP
Founded in 1997, the Tennessee Gas Association Scholarship Program was established by the Tennessee Gas Association (TGA) to provide financial assistance to the children of employees who are TGA members seeking higher education and residing in the State of Tennessee. The TGA Board created the Tennessee Gas Association Scholarship Foundation and, in 2012, the Foundation was granted 501(c)3 status.
The TGA Scholarship Foundation annually awards four scholarships
each in the amount of $3,000 named for John H. Ward, Leslie B. Enoch, II, Dwight S. Work and Daniel C. Hicks. Based on available funds, additional scholarships are awarded in the amount of $2,000 each. In addition to these scholarships for children of employees, the foundation also awards four $500 scholarships directly to employees
of TGA member companies who are pursuing a degree. Funding for these scholarships is collected throughout the year from golf and fishing tournaments, and silent auctions as well as donations from individuals, foundations and business partners.
We are very proud to announce that Paige Marlow, daughter of TN811 employee, Kristin Cameron, was selected to receive the 2024 Team Construction Scholarship in the amount of $2,000.
Paige has a history of community service through the Girl Scouts and
is a skilled musician with experience in concert band, wind ensemble,
and symphony. She graduated from Nashville School of the Arts with an impressive 3.9 GPA and plans to study Music Education at Belmont University beginning in the Fall of this year. After completing her undergraduate degree, Paige’s goal is to be a Music Theory teacher and she hasn’t ruled out the possibility that she will also pursue a master’s degree.
We know Kristin is incredibly proud of her daughter, and we wish Paige all the best as she pursues higher education.
